Arts festivals across the country often advertise themselves with collectible posters. Some festivals hire an advertising agency, others commission a prior year’s winner to do their poster. The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts does things a bit differently.

Pat Farrell Community Sing Along
Wednesday, July 10 @ 7:30 p.m.
State College Presbyterian Church

This is the third annual Pat Farrell Community Sing Along! We invite you to continue to make this very special event a success!

For many years State College residents came together for a weekly "community sing" each week during the summer, under the direction of Frank Gullo, the director of Penn State’s Glee Club, and Hummel Fishburn, the director of The Blue Band. This fun tradition disappeared in the 1970's, but the Festival is brought it back in 2011, in memory of Pat Farrell, a former Arts Festival board president.

Young and old, those who can sing, and especially those who can’t carry a tune in a bucket, are invited to join former Director of Choral Activities at Penn State and Music Director of the State College Choral Society Douglas Miller and Essence of Joy director Tony Leach as we come together to make some joyful noise. It promises to be a fun evening of traditional songs, folk melodies, camp ditties, and perhaps a show tune or two.
