Craft Beverage Garden presented by the Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail

Central PA Tasting Trail logo

Centre County’s bountiful supply of fruits, grains, and spring water has made the area popular with vintners, brewers, cider makers and distillers. Today’s consumers don’t want to just buy a product, they want to see how and where it’s made. Local craft beverage producers founded the Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail in 2015 to meet this need while promoting their products and encouraging agritourism.

Members of the Tasting Trail have been at the Festival since 2018 selling trail passports.  This year they are once again hosting an outdoor craft beverage garden in the midst of amazing music and vendors.

Craft Beverage Garden hours will be: Thursday through Saturday, 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Last year, the Tasting Trail made a strategic move to Sidney Friedman Park, and this year we will be expanding the space to include all of Sidney Friedman Park. This does not impact the general public’s access to the park in any way, but it does allow patrons of the Tasting Trail to enjoy all areas of the park while supporting trail members.

The Central PA Tasting Trail brings together the best of the region’s breweries, wineries, distilleries, and cideries. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or a wine lover, the trail offers a taste of the local spirit, one sip at a time.

When you head into Sidney Friedman Park to watch a show, make a shady stop, or head to the food court, you can grab an alcoholic beverage if you choose.  Valid identification will be required to purchase your reusable cup with a $10 cost with your first fill free.  All alcohol must be consumed within the enclosure.

Come enjoy live entertainment, a shady escape from the summer heat, and a refreshing beverage.

Please note that the Borough of State College prohibits open containers of alcohol in public areas of the Borough.
