Chris Vipond’s poignant songwriting covers themes as diverse as individuality\, love\, disconnectedness\, and dreams—both big and little. Stanley Street Band brings its intensely funky brand of folk rock to Chris’ work\, making for an evening of music like no other. \nOriginating in the Mountains of Central Pennsylvania in the forgotten railroad city of Altoona\, Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band represents all of the musical styles from Chris’s musical journey of 30 years. The Stanley Street Band is a handpicked group of expert musicians that bring Chris’s songs to life. He writes songs about individuality\, the creative process\, love\, social protest\, Big Brother\, disconnectedness\, big dreams\, and little dreams\, all the while trying to speak the truth through the music. \nChris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band have performed alongside Grammy Award winner/Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dr. John\, Grammy Award winner Del McCoury\, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Member Bernie Worrell as well as Steve Kimock\, The Clarks\, Paul Stookey (of Peter\, Paul\, and Mary)\, New Riders of the Purple Sage\, Anders Osborne\, Devon Allman\, Cyril Neville\, The Smithereens\, Dopapod\, The Werks\, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies\, and other national acts as well as numerous regional acts.\nWith a backbone of rock and roll\, the soul of a jam band and the voice of social protest\, Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band deliver a perfectly honest spectrum of sound.
