SUMMARY:Chip Mock Caricatures
DESCRIPTION:Chip Mock grew up in Johnstown\, Pa.\, admiring and drawing funny likenesses from an early age\, inspired by artists John Johns\, Norman Rockwell\, Mort Drucker\, and Al Hirshfield. \nWhile studying at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh\, Chip attended workshops taught by John Johns\, where he honed his skill for drawing caricatures at festivals and events. After graduation\, Chip moved to the State College area for work in graphic design and advertising in 1981. He started drawing caricatures locally the next year. \nIn 45 years since then he has enjoyed drawing hundreds of thousands of smiling faces! Along with arts festivals throughout the state\, Chip has entertained people of all ages with his caricature skills at parties\, proms\, weddings\, company picnics\, countless Penn State events\, and on cruise ships. \nHis black-and-white style is fast and funny\, always aiming to capture the charm of someone’s personality in their likenesses. He makes the experience of being drawn fun and entertaining for his subjects and especially enjoys their laughter and the laughter of friends and family when his drawing is revealed to them. \nChip finds great satisfaction in knowing his work is still enjoyed\, hanging on walls in homes\, schools\, and offices. \nThere is a cost for this activity.

SUMMARY:One Acre West
DESCRIPTION:One Acre West is an Americana music project from Kristi Jean and Steven Branstetter\, blending storytelling\, roots\, and country influences into a sound shaped by their lives in Texas\, Colorado\, and now the Appalachian ridge-and-valley region. Music was always part of their path\, but life sent them on a long detour through careers\, raising families\, and the practical responsibilities that quietly pull creative people away from their own stories. After years performing in cover bands\, they found themselves craving something more personal. Their debut album\, produced by Austin legend Bradley Kopp (Joe Ely\, Jimmie Dale Gilmore\, The Flatlanders\, Eliza Gilkyson\, Jerry Jeff Walker)\, is a return to the stories they almost left behind – songs about transitions\, place\, loss\, and love. One Acre West invites listeners into a journey that honors the past but reaches for something more\, shaped by grit\, grace\, and the power of lived experience.
