Last Year’s Performances… and More

Musical and other artistic performances are one of the main draws of Arts Festival. We present free performances on three outdoor stages – the Allen Street Stage, the Festival Shell, and the Sidney Friedman Park Stage – in addition to indoor performances in Penn State’s Schwab Auditorium, the State Theatre, the Penn State Downtown Theatre, and the State College Presbyterian Church. In addition to our stage performers, we present singer-songwriters and smaller acts outside Penn State’s Willard Building and the State College Municipal Building. This year, we’re presenting a showcase of local singer-songwriters on the new stage in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza. Performers are of international, national, and regional standing.  We offer everything from the much-loved Pat Farrell Sing-Along to world music, jazz to bluegrass, folk to rock, concert bands to choral groups, and musical theatre to a silent movie with a virtual theater organ. There are also participatory fitness activities like yoga and Zumba.

Don’t forget that some performances require a Festival button for admittance. Schedules are subject to change without prior notice.
